Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor best known for playing House in Fox's the medical thriller House. With a very strict Jewish upbringing she relocated from Wayne to New York City when she aged 18 and began attending Tisch School of the Arts. The school was very active in the club scene, creating enough controversy that she caught the interest of the media. She then merged her fame and talent with her writing and composing skills to create a show called Positive Me. In the following year she was recruited by MTV to host Awake On The Wild Side. She began to appear in television and film shows after the show ended. In the beginning, she appeared in smaller roles.
