Sheryl Underwood, a American comedian and television host most well-known as host for The Talk, a popular talk show that airs on daytime TV. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas was raised between Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl has an extremely troubled family. She spent most part of her youth taking care of Frankie. Frankie suffered from the disease polio. When she was a kid, her relations with her mother were not always smooth. Sheryl states that her mother was once brutally stabbed by her father because he was too close. Sheryl was a soldier upon her graduation from college. Her interest was in comedy. In 1989, she became the first female to make it to the top in the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. In 1992 she made her TV debut as a regular on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. She was a guest as host of Oh Drama! as the host in 2000. The show has also featured her as host on The Talk since 2011. Also, she appears in fictional roles in popular shows such as Bulworth and Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
